so i got bored of writing my main project,
frontends and hiscore tables really do take the fun out of it.
instead, i decided to write a simple simon clone this morning,
to help distract me, and put a little fun into mine other peoples lives.

Everyone have a quick go, and send me your hiscores, then i'll put them up on the website.

oh and watch this space, EDS: Ever Decreasing Squares, will be coming soon. Alain has played a very early alpha version, he knows it's gonna be good.

Like the online hiscore you've got there.

http://magnetpwnz.com The site's a WIP right now but it shouldn't take long to get it done.

ideally i would like the online hiscore table to be automatic,
either you the game itself would go online and upload the score,
or the player would enter it via a form,
but then the hiscore table would update itself.
problem is i have no idea how to do that, be it asp, php, perl or whatever they use for web programming, i know basic html which i enter in by hand and that's it.
as it stands, the web page form emails me, and i enter the hiscores myself,
checking for duplicate names and so on. a bit long winded.

Very good game. Got to Level 29. 50 levels would certainly require serious concentration.

Level 29?!?!?!
my mind starts going to mush after level 15.
i do think 50 levels is possible, as i've seen people memorize a complete deck of 52 cards. also with sound and there only being 4 lights, that should help.
i better get back to practicing.

keep an eye out for my first big game release.
Ever Decreasing Squares.
Smilies and AsobiSimon are just tasters of what gaming treats are on the way.

I have tested this game (Ever Decreasing Squares) in its early days and I can tell you it is addicitve and very nicely done. I can't wait for the final product!

quangdx, if you ever need any help beta testing don't hesitate to ask.  Also, how long until Ever Decreasing Squares comes out?  The more PPL products that can be released and possibly reviewed, the better it will be for Alain and in the long run all of us.

EDS is almost at beta stage,
and yes, everyone in the PPL community will be first to beta test it.
To be honest, I did originally plan to have it released at the beginning of may.
but due to lots of procrastination, the release date slipped further and further away.
The main part of the game is done, it's basically all the boring stuff that's left to do, front end, options, hiscores, missions, and so forth.
It's coming along, SLOWLY, but surely.

Let us know of the progress of the game. I will follow this one closely. Very interesting concept.
