I was finally able to fix the Docking Library for Delphi to work correctly with the PIDE. It offers great flexibility to the user.

Tomorrow is the day I will decide on the help authoring we will be using for the whole project. We will split the help files into multiple, here are some we will have in PPL 2.0:

Getting started (Installation, overview of PPL, PCL and PIDE)

PPL (Compiler, Interpreter, Syntax and internal functions).

PCL (PPL Control Library, Swirl and Orion)

IDE (PIDE version 2)

Mobile (Mobile platform IDE and considerations)

I’ve looked into HelpStudio3 which seems to offer a very package, easy to use and very powerful. I will test some more and take my decision tomorrow.

About a week ago, I’ve converted the PIDE project from Borland Delphi 5 to CodeGear Delphi 2007 (still on trial period for now). Today, I tried converting some of the components we are using for the PIDE to CodeGear Delphi 2009 but most of them don’t work. My dilema is that I have about 22 days left to the trial of 2007, I hope that these components will be upgraded to 2009 by that time. I cannot afford to buy Delphi 2007 now and upgrade to 2009 in a month.

I will keep you updated on the subject as I have further development on this issue…
